About
Chalk.press is an interdisciplinary multifaceted collaborative emphatic trilingual collective which engages in assiduous textile-based exigent operations across a variety of efflorescent spheres, ambits, and perimetrices, constantly pursuing effective material-centric solutions to a plethora of quagmires via a diversity of various segments.
Items are sewn, embroidered, dyed, and printed by hand at our studio in Philadelphia PA. Blanks are sourced from domestic, unionized, producers. Dyes are ecologically derived from plants and metals, some of which we forage ourselves.
Because of the handmade nature of our products, slight differentiation may occur. Plz don’t freak out!
Recently, we collaborated with a good friend and local designer, Hieromaar, to open a shop where we can display our work and share some of our process through an open studio. Located on the north west corner 5th and South streets—sandwiched between a local institution in Greek cuisine, South St. Souvlaki, and a subpar secondhand conglomerate we won’t name—you’ll find our store, Sidewalk. Come say hi!
